Richard Carper (inducted in 2001) (now deceased) -- Carper and his wife, Mary, owned Garden Spot Promotions in Lancaster, PA. Since 1969 they have been scheduling nationally known Southern Gospel artists in the Lancaster area. Garden Spot Promotions is widely regarded as one of the top concert promoters in the Southern Gospel industry today. Carper was nominated in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2003 for Best Concert Promoter by the Southern Gospel Music Association (SGMA) in Pigeon Forge, TN.
